ANGUS PITCHES IN TO HELP FIGHT HUNGER IN TIMMINS COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR FUNDRAISER IS A GREAT PRO

Charlie Angus is putting together a team to fundraise for the Coldest Night of the Year event being held on February 24. The event is being put on by the Anti-Hunger Coalition in Timmins which does excellent work on ensuring access to local, healthy and affordable food in the Timmins area. The organization which is heavily dependent on donations is looking to raise $30,000 by hosting a 2km walk as part of the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser.

Angus is putting a fundraising team in place to join the walk.

“People from anywhere can donate to this amazing cause. You can put a team together to participate. You can make a donation. This is an organization I really believe in so I will be hitting up people to help out.”

Jen Vachon is the director of the Anti-Hunger Coalition. She says the funds will be used to carry on the organization’s work with developing community gardens, the collective cooking progam and their Good Food Box program which provides healthy food choices for area families.
